Some Matters Needing Attention in The Installation Of PPR Pipes

1 The connecting surfaces of pipes and fittings must be kept dry, clean and free of oil.

2 The pipe must be cut so that the end face is perpendicular to the pipe axis. Pipe cutters or pipe cutters are generally used for pipe cutting. If necessary, a sharp hacksaw can be used, but the burrs and burrs should be removed from the cutting pipe section.

3. The fusion part of the electrofusion fitting and the pipe should be kept free from moisture.

4 The hot-melt tool is powered on, and the green indicator light is on when it reaches the working temperature before it can start to operate.

5 When heating, the pipe end is introduced into the heating jacket without rotation, and inserted to the marked depth. At the same time, the pipe fitting is pushed onto the heating head without rotation to reach the specified mark. The heating time should be carried out according to the instruction manual of the welding tool.

6 After the heating time is reached, immediately remove the pipe and the pipe fittings from the heating mold at the same time, and insert it into the marked depth quickly and evenly without rotation, so that a uniform flange is formed at the joint.

7 Within the specified time, the newly welded joint can be corrected, but not rotated.

8 When welding elbow or tee, according to the requirements of design drawings, attention should be paid to its direction, and the position should be marked with auxiliary marks on the straight line direction of pipe fittings and pipes.

9 The standard heating time of the electrofusion connection should be provided by the manufacturer and should be adjusted according to the different ambient temperature.

10. The pipeline shall not be bent during installation. When passing through the wall or floor, it should not be forced to correct. When laying with other metal pipelines, the clear distance should be greater than 100mm, and the polypropylene pipeline should be on the inner side of the metal pipeline.

11. The indoor surface installed pipeline should be carried out after the civil decoration is completed. Before installation, the hole should be correctly reserved with the civil construction, and the size should be 50mm larger than the outer diameter of the pipe. When the pipeline passes through the floor, a steel casing should be installed, and the casing should be 50mm higher than the floor (ground) surface.

12 When the pipeline passes through the foundation wall, a metal sleeve should be set to make your installation more secure.

13 The pipelines hidden under the floor surface and in the walls should be well tested for hydraulic pressure and the acceptance and recording of concealed works.

14 When the pipeline crosses the floor and roof, strict waterproof measures should be taken, and fixed brackets should be provided on both sides of the crossing point.

15 After installation, a water pressure test must be done.
